Well, I know a lot has already been said about this kite, but having only received our pair of Transfer xt.s just before the World Championships and not having had much chance to try them, I did want to share my feelings now we have had chance.

The Transfer xt.s is certainly quite the kite! It's looks are great and in our custom colors, it looks fantastic.

After a number of years on the L'Atelier Lithium, the xt.s is somewhat of a surprise. It generates a steady pull on the lines in all wind conditions, always letting you feel there is something there, but at the same time, does not really pull that much for a kite of it's size. In the air it excels at carving beautifully precise turns and lines, whilst always being one quick hand movement away from the next trick.

And tricking is really where this kite comes to life for me. Everything is just so accessible. We fly pairs and with the Lithium, we are able to execute numerous tricky moves, but in the short time we have had the xt.s, we have already started experimenting with far more challenging ideas. Refulled axles worked first time and we even tried a version of a refueled Lazy Susan (which I wouldn't advise)!! We have had a new ballet routine in mind during the last month or so and now these have arrived, it has opened up the possibilities for us and should help us create a great product.

The xt.s is definitely a lot of kite, with a very wide wingspan. It takes some time getting used to and more than once we have caught a wingtip on a ground pass or landed a couple of inches too low!! But once you get the feel for it, you will just be amazed by what you can achieve.

At the recent World Championships we watched Tame Bird flying team with the xt.s and commented on how they seemed to move so slowly and have such a large window. Having flown ours as pairs now, we now understand that the window is huge and whilst they are not a slow kite really, their size does give you ability to make them look that way, whilst at the same time allowing you to execute very rapid movements whenever you need.

The xt.s is definitely expanding the possibilities in kiting and if you haven't tried one, make sure you do. You may just fall in love with it!!!
